Skoolhouse 2.0
It's obvious that 2.0 is now up. Somewhat less obvious are the changes we've made based on our experiences with old skool skoolhouse and all the feedback we've gotten from users. We think the new format and features are "mad phat", and can't wait for everybody to try them out:

1) BEHEARD - Uploading is MUCH easier, faster, and more reliable. The old uploading process kind of, well, sucked. Our host didn't like it much either because it was eating up most of their RAM. To improve everything for everybody, we've set up a pop-up FTP-upload window that you can use to "drag-n- drop" your mixes right to the Skoolhouse RealAudio server. The FTP window shows a progress bar during the upload (finally!) and when it's finished, you just fill out a short form and select your track from a list of recently uploaded tracks.

2) If you're a Skoolhouse "regular" (you know who you are), you can now claim a little piece of Skoolhouse 2.0 as your own by becoming a Skoolhouse Affiliate. Affiliates get to create and maintain their own "site" within Skoolhouse using a web- based interface that allows you to submit articles, pictures, shouts, etc. If you're interested in becoming an Affiliate, send a writing sample to djav id@skoolhouse.com.

3) LISTEN area improvements - First, we've changed the list display to a search-engine style that cuts down loading and resorting time dramatically (because you're only getting 10 items at time, instead of the whole list). Second, every style (House, Jungle, Breaks, Hip-Hop, and Trance) and within them, every sub- style has its own list! So, if you want to see the top ten Party-House tracks, you can do that. Or you can see the 10 most recently uploaded Hip-Hop tracks, etc. We think this makes the tracks a LOT easier to get to and make sense out of.

That's about it for now. Look for more in the future, including the opportunity to become a Skoolhouse Virtual Resident DJ!

I miss jammin guy

He's back!
